This damaged concrete effluent tank is located at an explosives company in Australia. The effluent water inside of this tank contains cyanide and ammonium nitrate.
After years in service the concrete floor and wall were showing signs of deterioration from chemical attack. ENECON’s Exclusive Distributor in Australia was contacted and asked to provide a solution to this problem.
All the effluent water was drained from the tank and the existing pipework leading into the tank was temporarily disconnected.
The entire surface of the floor and wall were rebuilt to the original specification using ENECRETE DuraQuartz.
After the DuraQuartz fully cured, two coats of CHEMCLAD XC were applied to the floor and wall to prevent future chemical attack.
