After being constructed and in service only 18 months, the protective coating on the floor of this Russian fire station failed. The concrete was absorbing oil and other liquids. The station operator needed a fast, durable and affordable solution.
The ENECON Distributor in Russia was contacted and proposed a complete resurfacing of the entire 5,800 sq. ft. floor.
First, a floor grinder was used to remove the failed, existing coating. Any necessary repairs to the concrete were made with DuraQuartz, then the entire floor was primed with ENECLAD CFS.
Two coats of ENECLAD FPS in Haze Gray were applied to the entire surface. To complete the intricate striping patterns needed in the fire station, a combination of CHEMCLAD GP in Safety Yellow and CHEMCLAD XC in White and Dark Gray were used.
