This is the "seat section" of a relief valve in a de-commissioned Hydroelectric Dam. The dam no longer produces any electric power, but uses the relief valves to control the level of the lake behind the dam and for emergency purposes.
First few photos are showing installed, removed, and separated halves showing damage before work.
Then after blasting, halves coated with CeramAlloy CL+AC in grey to hold blast while doing buildup work.
Then in process of build up and fairing with CeramAlloy CP+AC, high spots ground down and smoothed after overnight cure.
Final coats of CeramAlloy CL+AC in blue to complete coating for protection.
