Dissolved Air Flotation Tank Protected

Australian Wastewater Plant Uses DuraQuartz and CHEMCLAD To Protect Tank

New concrete on the radial launder of this dissolved air flotation (DAF) tank needed protection from the harsh chemical environment surrounding it.

ENECON’s distributor in Australia was contacted for a fast, low cost and effective solution.

1. The surface of the new concrete was mechanically prepared and left clean, dry and rough for this application.

2. All imperfections on the surface of the concrete were filled-in with ENECRETE DuraQuartz and allowed to cure.

3. 2 coats of CHEMCLAD GP were applied at an average thickness of 250 - 275 microns per coat to achieve a final minimum dry film thickness average of 500-550 microns.
